University profile

University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia is university that offers modern education and continuously develops and updates the process of acquiring knowledge in accordance with modern contemporary educational trends. The University of Tourism and Management in Skopje traces its roots back in 2006 when the Faculty of Tourism was established. Its activities were legally recognized on 19.06.2006 when the Faculty of Tourism was accredited by the Board of Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia. The following years are highlighted by the establishment and accreditation (13.05. 2008) of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje with six new faculties (Faculty of Entrepreneurial Business, Faculty of Human Resources Management, Faculty of International Marketing Management, Faculty of Public Relations, Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Sport Tourism) that joined previously established Faculty of Tourism, that meet the increasing needs of modern education in R. Macedonia and the region. University of Tourism and Management in Skopje curriculums are clearly created and in compliance with the European standards for 3+2 module of studies.

Currently, there are five faculties operating at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje

  1. Faculty of Tourism
  2. Faculty of Economics
  3. Faculty of Entrepreneurial Business,
  4. Faculty of Human Resources Management,
  5. Faculty of International Marketing Management

As one of the few private Universities in Macedonia, University of Tourism and Management made efforts to differentiate itself among others. The intention was not to create competition with other Universities, but to prevent the student from feeling lost in the multitude of students. Therefore, the philosophy behind our University is a personalized teaching approach.

The University is accredited in the Republic of Macedonia by the Board for Accreditation and is licensed by the Ministry for Education and Science to operate as an institution for higher education.

The University is affiliate member of UNWTO and in process of TEDQual accreditation.

The aim and the strategic orientation of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje above all is discovering new ways of incorporating the society and the individuals into the current flows of social growth, as well as creating a permanent and secure communication channels with the most important accomplishments of that growth.

University of Tourism and Management, through its methodology of work, which is almost identical to the work of all the world's universities, primarily through teaching, and the implementation of practical engagements, constantly arouses the creative activity of students, research spirit in them; and of course they need to conquer the new knowledge and skills.

Our graduates with their professional qualifications on one hand, and the university’s research output to the development of science through national and international projects, organized symposia, workshops, conferences and academic events on the other, have significantly contributed to the university’s mission to create, implement and maintain the highest quality of education.
