Academic and scientific cooperation with domestic and foreign higher education institutions is a strategic determination of the University of Skopje. Our commitment to excellence, quality and leadership in the field of higher education requires us to base our international cooperation activities on the following principles:
- Cooperation with our partners should be based on achieving common academic, educational and scientific goals.
- Every cooperation should be in favor of providing better educational opportunities for our students and for students from partner universities.
- Any cooperation should be aimed at providing opportunities for the exchange of experiences and knowledge between academic staff and partner universities.
- The cooperation should improve the organizational capacities of the partner universities for identifying and overcoming the challenges that societies face in the processes of global changes.
- Cooperation to provide opportunities for research and innovation that will advance the societies in which we live.
- Relations between higher education institutions should be cooperative and synergistic.
- When establishing cooperation, the University of Skopje makes efforts to promote international and intercultural understanding. These are the principles on which we establish bilateral relations with other institutions.
In accordance with the principles on which we base all our cooperation, the partnerships we establish with higher education institutions from abroad are aimed at achieving the following goals:
- exchange of students, teachers and lecturers;
- academic cooperation and the exchange of academic staff;
- curriculum development;
- development and implementation of scientific research projects;
- exchange of information and experiences;
- exchange of visiting professors with lectures on current issues relevant to the study programs of the university;
- planning, organizing and conducting international workshops, seminars and conferences;
- exchange of publications and books;
- inclusion of local and regional companies in the educational process;
- organizing double degree studies.
Part of the international cooperation, the University of Skopje also achieves through projects of the Erasmus + program, which promotes mobility and exchange of students and academic staff, development and implementation of joint research projects, strengthening of the institutions' capacities for implementing the necessary reforms, development of teaching programs etc.
