International tourism in the world employs every twelve workers in the economy and ensures the development and prosperity of many economic actors from various industries, represents the chance of developing countries out of the stagnation of the whole economy.
The modern tourist, in the spirit of new tourism vision insists on quality service and is willing to pay a price for value. Tourism operators are faced with the need to produce quality that requires the market, turned towards human resources as a key factor in the process.
Faculty of Tourism at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, aimed at creating quality staff to work in tourism, cooperating with a number of economic entities from the ranks of renowned hotel companies, travel agencies, tour operators, schools of tourism, professional associations and chambers of commerce in the field of tourism in the country and abroad.
In this regard organized under bilateral mentoring realized internship for a minimum of one month each year of study in the country and abroad.
Gjorevska Sara, a student of second year studies at the Faculty of Tourism, its practice performs at Grand Hotel Albana in Lucerne Switzerland, where he was directly involved in the process of hotel performance that represents an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience.
Luka Jovicevic, second-year student at the Faculty of Tourism, his practical experience in the field acquires the Hotel Aphroditi of Crete in Greece, which is directly involved in the working process serving, in the section of the restaurant.
Teodora Janeva, second-year student at the Faculty of Tourism, its practice performs in Hotel Holiday Inn in Skopje, where after informing all departments in the hotel, is directly involved in the process of reception operation, under the mentorship of a hotel manager Tomislav Kotevski which is an excellent opportunity to upgrade their theoretical knowledge with the necessary business skills and competencies and gain practical experience.
The students on the practice have a responsible approach to performance their practice successfully, making assigned tasks and acquire the necessary business skills and competencies, which is identifiable by a log-in prompt that record all the activities. In that process is more important that we give mentors from the companies where they perform the practice and from the Faculty of Tourism.
