Science has the answers to global challenges, it is up to politicians and governments to share them, and they should listen!

This is one of the messages of the academic panel at the international conference ICON BEST 2024, which took place today at the University of Skopje.

Among the speakers at this prestigious event are proven professionals from the region and Europe, including Prof. PhD. Goran Bandov, Mr. Louis Bashur, as well as Prof. PhD. Zoran Ivanovski, Vice-Rector for Science and Development at the University of Skopje.

“In more than 9 sessions dedicated to economics, entrepreneurship, digitalization, marketing and human resources, prominent domestic and international experts and university professors presented their innovative research and results,” said Vice-Rector Ivanovski.

Today, we know and need to build education for the 21st century, the academic community believes.

“The world is facing global problems. At this conference, science will make its contribution to overcoming them in order to encourage global development,” said Prof. PhD. Goran Bandov from Croatia.

According to global research, more than 30% of jobs are expected to be replaced by machines in 2027, which is why partnerships between educational and business institutions are necessary.“The most important thing in a country is to build partnerships between educational institutions and the business sector, because that is how a stable society is built, with a secure future,” said Prof. Dr. Miglena Temelkova, Rector of the University of Telecommunications and Posts in Sofia.UTMS, as a higher education, scientific and socially responsible institution, brought renowned professors to a joint event who shared their academic experiences!
