This was announced by the participants of the 2nd International Symposium on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture today at the University of Skopje.
Today in the premises of the University of Skopje, the 2nd International Symposium on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture was held, in which scientists and professors from Macedonia, Vietnam and China participated. We were especially honored by the presence and address of N. E. Zhang Suo, ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Macedonia. Among the guests were representatives from over 50 institutions working in the field of education, science and health, from Macedonia, but also from the wider region and from the European Union, from Bulgaria, Poland, Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The symposium was organized by the Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture "Tong Da Tang TKM" from Skopje in cooperation with Skopje University.
The symposium was opened by the rector of Skopje University, prof. PhD. Ace Milenkovski, who once again referred to education and health as pillars of the survival and development of any society and humanity as a whole.
"Health is not just a physical condition. Health is, above all, a state of mind. The holy brothers Kliment and Naum Ohridski also knew that, who spread literacy, but also the word of God, taught people how to write, but also how to take care of their spiritual and physical health", noted Rector Milenkovski in his welcoming speech at The symposium.
"Traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of immense value. The Chinese Embassy in Macedonia, as always, will actively promote exchange and cooperation in this field to help improve the health and well-being of the people of both countries!", said Ambassador Zhang Suo in his address to the guests.
Top professors and doctors who deal with Chinese traditional medicine, as well as professors from the University of Skopje, took part in the symposium. Academician prof. PhD. Valentin Mirchevski encouraged thinking about water as a key element of life, prof. PhD. Yihe Zhu gave an exhaustive overview of the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Macedonia, prof. PhD Jana Ilieva referred to the legal aspects of health management, and prof. Dr. Blagica Arsovska presented us an interesting research from her own practice on the effectiveness of acupuncture in balancing the work of the thyroid. Representatives of the Red Cross in Skopje told about the positive effects of qigong on the health of adults in their day care centers.
At the Symposium, through a video address, distinguished professors from Liaoning University and Tianjin University explained to us the basic concepts of traditional Chinese medicine, as well as the perspectives opened by the cooperation of Chinese and conventional Western medicine.
Today, with this symposium, we have shown that when it comes to education, science and medicine in the service of the overall well-being of people, society and humanity, there are no borders!
Even today, the University of Skopje has proven itself as a leader in opening new vistas and new perspectives for the good and the future of the homeland!
