A delegation from the highest academic level of the University of Skopje led by the rector, prof. PhD. Ace Milenkovski, visited the Bigor Monastery of St. John the Baptist.

Our colleagues were deeply honored as guests of the Elder and Abbot of Bigor, Bishop Antaniski Mr. Parthenius, and the rector prof. PhD. Ace Milenkovski and the abbot of the monastery exchanged suitable gifts.

The University delegation also visited the monastery library, where one could feel the history of Macedonianness that permeated every corner between the old books, whose pages, yellowed over the centuries, tell of its survival.

On four pillars in the library are represented the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius and their disciples Clement and Naum, to remind us who we are, not to let us forget our roots, our written tradition, our Macedonian identity immortalized throughout history with their letters.

Bishop Antaniski Mr. Parthenius blessed the work  University of Skopje, our educational activity based on the legacy of the holy brothers and their students, our efforts to walk proudly in their footsteps in our educational activity.

We are grateful for the excellent reception and honor shown, as well as for the opportunity to spend a part of the day in this Macedonian priceless treasure!
