The University of Skopje today visited the University of Telecommunications and Posts in Sofia, Bulgaria, on the occasion of the beginning of the academic year and the ceremonial awarding of diplomas in this institution. The extremely important event that the host university organized on this occasion was attended by ministers, deputies, professors, parents, students from Bulgaria, as well as guests from abroad, and those present greeted high representatives of public institutions, partners of the University and the business sector.
Among the speakers at the event, the speech of Prof. PhD. Ace Milenkovski, the rector of Skopje University caused loud applause.
"I come from Macedonia, from your sister country, to Bulgaria, our brother country. But I will leave politics aside, because knowledge is strength, knowledge is power that knows no barriers", Rector Milenkovski emphasized in his address.
He added that the work of a professor is apostolic and extremely important in a society, just like the work of a doctor, because teachers are the ones who educate, educate and socialize children and young people as future leaders in society.
"From the beginning of humanity until today, in all civilizations that have existed, the most important pillars of society have been health and education. Only healthy and literate people can build mutual tolerance and a strong society", Rector Milenkovski told them at the event.
"I bring you all big and warm greetings from the students of my University and I invite you to visit us. I ask you also to greet your professors with loud applause, one of the most important people in any society, but also Rector Temelkova, under whose guidance you studied and will study in the following years!", Rector Milenkovski invited those present to greet the academic staff of University of Telecommunications and Posts in Sofia, Bulgaria.
