University Skopje and the Union of Chambers of Commerce signed a memorandum for greater cooperation between business and education.
The president of SSK, Trajan Angelovski and the rector of University Skopje, prof. PhD. Ace Milenkovski joined hands with joint efforts to help young people acquire knowledge in the business sector and stay at home in their homeland.
"I am honored that we are signing this memorandum with Skopje University, which has talents and graduates that we should motivate to work at home, instead of going abroad. The Union of Chambers of Commerce always advocates that future graduates acquire an internship in one of the Macedonian companies, where at the same time they will transfer the knowledge they have acquired to higher education institutions in the country," says the head of SSK, Angelovski.
The rector of Skopje University, prof. PhD. Ace Milenkovski said that the greatest wealth and greatest resource of any society are young people, and therefore a way must be found to keep them at home, to remain on their own.
"Cooperation with the Union of Chambers of Commerce is very significant for us. We create professional staff that the business sector needs. The goal of the University of Skopje is to generate successful personnel in the field of economics, marketing, tourism and management, and the proof of this is that our graduates are already top professionals who work in renowned companies in managerial positions," said Rector Milenkovski.
A stronger connection between the educational sector and the business community is necessary. The cooperation of the two institutions will help young people to trace their life path, with quality knowledge that will result in expertise in the work positions they will find themselves in in the years to come.
According to all surveys, Macedonia ranks high in the outflow of highly educated young people in the world. Few think of staying here.
