A delegation from the University of Tourism and Management participated today in the appropriate ceremony organized by the University of Telecommunications and Posts from Sofia, Bulgaria, on the occasion of the start of the academic year 2022/2023 and the graduation of the Class of 2022. Prof. PhD. Ace Milenkovski, the rector of the University of Tourism and Management from Skopje, was awarded a plaque as a sign of gratitude for the established cooperation between the two universities. At the ceremony of this renowned higher education institution, the President of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, was the guest of honor.
It was Established in 1881 as a postal school by decree of Prince Alexander I, the forerunner of today's University of Telecommunications and Posts of Sofia heralded the key role that communications would play in the next century. After 141 years of its establishment, history has confirmed that communications are the basis for any industrial development.
Always in step with the latest trends and needs of society, the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, a higher education institution that has been dedicated to knowledge for 17 years, integrated information sciences into the studies it offers with the establishment of the Faculty of Informatics.
Today, the University of Telecommunications and Posts from Sofia is focused on educating highly professional engineers and managers in the telecommunications and high technology sector. The University of Tourism and Management from Skopje is aimed at creating tourism workers, economists and financial experts, human resource managers and software engineers. Mutually recognizing the key role of communications and technology in every sector of today's society, this year on June 8, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Cooperation committing to work on establishing and conducting joint master's, doctoral and hybrid studies in the field of information sciences.
