Luxor, Egypt is hosting the 104th session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which was held from October 30 to November 2, 2016. The session is attended by ministers and state secretaries from fifty countries worldwide. At this session in the capacity of affiliate member was presented the delegation of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje. The delegation consists of the Rector Ace Milenkovski, the Dean of the Faculty of tourism, Sasko Gramatnikovski, Jovo Ratkovic, director of human resources at UTMS and Angela Milenkovska assistant at UTMS. In addition at the Executive Council, from 1 to 3 November will be held the 5th UNWTO global summit on urban tourism entitled "Cities: Local culture for the global tourists."
The opening of these events was made by the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Mr. Taleb Rifai and he stressed that it is not coincidence that we meet here. Egyptian city of Luxor known in ancient Egyptian temples and tombs was declared the capital of international tourism in the world for 2016. These events are held at a crucial time for Egypt and this is the support of UNWTO recovery of tourism in this country. Therefore, he stressed that this is not Hollywood, but a place, this is the place where everything began.
