On 08.10.2016 year in the Macedonian National Theatre, the University of Tourism and Management Skopje gloriously celebrated its anniversary, 10 years since its establishment and operation. On this occasion there was a formal promotion of the eighth generation of graduates of the first cycle and the sixth generation of the masters students at the second cycle. The solemn celebration began with the celebration of the ten year anniversary with an address to the General Secretary of UTMS, Mr. Zoran Gjorgjeski who spoke about the accreditation of the Faculty of Tourism as the first higher education establishment which began operations in 2006, highlighting the 2008 when the high - educational institution grew into a university with the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Human resource management, Faculty of entreprenenial bussiness, Faculty of International marketing management, Faculty of public relations and the Faculty of Sport tourism. Also in his speech emphasized the selfless commitment of academic staff for the establishment of the high standards exemplified by the world famous University, as reflected by the numerous awards for excellence in higher education, business prestige, super brand and others.

Then followed an address by the Rector of UTMS, Prof. Ace Milenkovski PhD who in his speech emphasized the power of the knowledge, dedication to the work, commitment to the internationalization of UTMS to continually innovate and be creative teaching through which the students acquire quality theoretical and applicable knowledge, thereby profiled as highly competitive labor market. In this context, the Rector stated: " Dear masters and graduates, with mention of the name of this very reputable and prestigious higher education institution receives a reference that allows you to be strong competition in the labor market.

We all believe and expect that this generation, will be the proud of their dear parents and still will continue to be the pride of the university, and that will successfully employ at the most prestigious positionsin which their diploma will be accept in the immediate practice, accepted diploma known and recognized universities in the world".

The promotion of the graduates was attended by prominent figures from higher education in the country, but also abroad. After the awarding of diplomas and the traditional throwin their hats in the air, the ceremony was marked with a cocktail for all the present guests.
