On April 26, 2018, at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, a NATO Conference was held on the topic: " Working Locally, Acting Nationally, Thinking Globally" organized by the Center for Economic Policy, Analysis and Consulting, CEPAC sponsored by NATO’s public diplomacy division.

The purpose of the Conference was to inform about meaning to be a NATO member and the benefits of the Republic of Macedonia as a candidate for NATO membership. Speakers at the Conference were senior officials, former and current eminent guests including: prof. Dr. Stevo Pendarovski, NATO's Chief Coordinator for the Republic of Macedonia, General Miroslav Stojanovski (former General of the ARM) and adviser to the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia, NATO representatives from Brussels and Macedonian experts in the field. Asst. prof. Dr. Valentina Mucunska Palevska from the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje had presentation on strategic communication in the process of transferring the real information / facts based information about NATO at the local level.
