COMPETITION

for enrolling first cycle undergraduate students and second cycle undergraduate studies at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, in the academic year 2019/2020 in Macedonian

first cycle diploma: graduate manager in tourism

second cycle diploma: MSc in Tourism Management

  1. Faculty of Economics

first cycle diploma: graduate economist

second cycle degree: Master of Economics

  1. Faculty of International Marketing Management

First cycle degree: Graduate Public Relations Manager and International Marketing Management

Second cycle diploma: MSc in Public Relations and International Marketing Management

  1. Faculty of Entrepreneurial Business

first cycle diploma: graduate manager in entrepreneurship

second cycle diploma: Master of Entrepreneurship

  1. Faculty of Human Resource Management

The first and second cycle studies are from the scientific research fields and fields:

1 natural-mathematical sciences, field 110 informatics, 2 technical sciences, field 212 computer technology and informatics, 5 social sciences, field 503 economics, 506 organizational sciences and management 508 legal sciences and 514 tourism and hospitality from the Classification of research areas, fields, and areas according to the International Fractional Classification.

  1. I. Number of students

At the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, in the first year of the first cycle of undergraduate studies, for the above study programs, in the academic year 2019/2020, three years (six semesters), 100 full-time and 100 full-time students will be enrolled. , with a duration of four years (eight semesters) will enroll 40 full-time and 40 part-time students, and 280 second-cycle students.

  1. II. Admission Requirements and Criteria

а) First cycle undergraduate studies

II.a.1. Entry requirement for first cycle undergraduate studies for those who will be graduating in the 2018/2019 academic year has passed the state high school or international high school diploma or completed four years of secondary education in accordance with the regulations applicable prior to the introduction of the state high school diploma. Prerequisite for enrolling in the first cycle of undergraduate undergraduate studies is a four-year secondary education in secondary schools verified by an act of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Domestic nationals who have completed secondary education abroad, as well as foreign nationals, under the same conditions as domestic nationals, have the right to enroll in first cycle undergraduate studies.

II.a.2. Candidates who have completed higher or higher education at related faculties and higher schools may also be enrolled in the first cycle of undergraduate undergraduate studies at the University. These candidates are enrolled outside the quota, up to 20% of the total number of full-time students at the University specified in this competition.

II.a.3. Applicants are enrolled as full-time, part-time, or part-time students, self-financing studies, in an amount determined by decision of the Rector's Board of the University.

II.a.4. Candidates are enrolled without taking the entrance exam.

II.a.5. Criteria for Selection and Ranking of Candidates for First Degree University Undergraduate Enrollment in the 2018/2019 Academic Year is the success achieved in secondary education and state graduation, ie international graduation or four-year secondary education education according to the regulations that were in force before the introduction of the state high school diploma, and for those who finished secondary education in the school year 2006/2007 and earlier, the success achieved in secondary education.

The evaluation of the success of the candidates is expressed in points. Candidates can earn up to 100 points:

The overall success achieved in all subjects accounts for 60%,The success of the state exam, ie the high school diploma or the final exam and the result of the external examination of the achievement of the student's success accounts for 40%.

II.a.6. The evaluation of the success of the secondary education and state matura is done according to the criteria set out in the Rulebook on the conditions and criteria for enrollment in the first cycle of undergraduate undergraduate studies at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje.

b) Second cycle university masters degree

II.b.1. Candidates (nationals and foreign nationals) who fulfill the following general requirements are eligible to apply for the second cycle (master's) studies:

  • Have completed a first cycle of university studies, lasting four years at accredited universities or faculties in the country or abroad and earned 240 ECTS;
  • Have completed a first cycle of university studies, with a duration of three years of relevant or related undergraduate studies, at accredited universities or faculties in the country or abroad and earned 180 ECTS.

II.b.2. Applicants are enrolled as full-time, part-time or distance learning students with self-financing studies in an amount determined by the decision of the Rector's Board of the University.

III. Application and registration deadlines

            a) First cycle undergraduate university studies

Candidates will be registered by:

  • announcement of the competition by August 30, 2019, for the first entry deadline,
  • 02.09.2019 until 13.09.2019, for the second registration deadline,
  • 16.09.2019 until 01.10.2019, for the third registration deadline.

Announcement of results for candidates who qualify for enrollment will be made on:

  • 02 09.2019, for the first registration deadline,
  • 17.09.2019, for the second registration deadline and
  • 02.10.2019 for the third registration deadline.

          If the number of students enrolled in this Competition is not filled within the deadline set above, the University will announce additional enrollment deadlines, and interested applicants will be informed in due time.

  1. IV. Place of study program

            The study programs of the first and second cycle studies will be conducted at the headquarters of the University at Partizanski Odredi Boulevard no. 99, Skopje.

            б) Second cycle university master studies

            Candidates will be registered by the announcement of the competition until 08.11.2019. Announcement of Results for Applicants on 11.11.2019.

  1. Tuition fees

а) First cycle undergraduate university studies

The tuition fee for the first cycle of studies is MKD 61,500 per semester.

б) Second cycle university master studies

The tuition fee for the second cycle studies is MKD 46,125 per semester.

The University reserves the right to award scholarships for enrollment in all study programs in accordance with the University's general acts.

  1. VI. Application and registration documents

When applying for enrollment, candidates submit the following documents:

а) For admission to the first cycle (undergraduate) studies:

  1. application form for enrollment (obtained at the University);
  2. original certificates from all school years (I, II, III, IV);
  3. state graduation or international graduation or four-year secondary education according to the regulations that were in force before the state graduation;
  4. birth certificate (for nationals) and
  5. proof of citizenship (certificate or decision) for nationals, ie notarized copy of passport for foreign nationals.

б) for the enrollment of the second cycle (master's) studies:

  1. application form for enrollment (obtained at the University);
  2. diploma, diploma supplement or certificate of passing exams, as well as a document for knowledge of one of the world languages;
  3. birth certificate (for nationals) and
  4. proof of citizenship (certificate or decision) for nationals, ie notarized copy of passport for foreign nationals.

            Nationals or foreign nationals who have completed their education abroad should verify the documents for secondary or higher education in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia or submit proof that they have submitted documents for verification.

When applying, applicants submit:

  1. two photographs (3x4 cm);
  2. proof of paid tuition.
