Department of Student Care

The Department of Student Care within the University of Skopje aims to provide services for students from socially vulnerable categories, but also for those who, for various reasons, need to be covered by this program. The department is composed of a manager and a student care advisor, who inform, advise and guide students on how to deal with problems and move more painlessly through the study process.

Work of the Department of Student Affairs

The Department of Student Affairs provides professional services to all faculty and students.

The competence of the Department is divided into three key functions:

I. Helping students with general questions

II. Student support and guidance

III. Psycho-social support and counseling

Helping students with general questions

Students need academic information related to their studies at the University. They usually need additional information about exams, documentation (diplomas, certificates, certificates, etc.) and other academic matters. Department of Student Care helps students get the information they need and complete their assignments easily.

Student support and guidance

The majority of students need guidance even in routine matters, such as assistance in writing letters to higher officials of the University and following the work procedures of individual departments of the University. Department of Student Care identifies these issues and offers the necessary guidance and support to students.

Psycho-social support and counseling

The most important and highly valued service that students can receive from the Department of Student Care is professional counseling and guidance regarding the various emotional states and challenges that every young person faces. Counseling and guidance is carried out in cooperation with experts from the field, with whom the University has established cooperation. Counseling offers students mechanisms for overcoming emotional crises, for dealing with conflicts, as well as guidelines for better and more effective communication with their parents, friends and colleagues in various situations they will find themselves in during their daily lives. In general, effective psychological counseling helps students and their parents to overcome the stress and stressful situation they are in and motivates them to act in a positive direction.

Students can ask for information by phone or email or make an appointment with the counselor if they need more specific advice.
