ON UTMS WAS HELD LECTURE AND WORKSHOP ON THE TOPIC: "SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP"

In accordance with the annual program of work of the Faculty of Entrepreneurial Business on April 2, 2018, was held lecture from the business community, Ms. Ilina Veljanovska, founder of a social enterprise and winner of the Social Impact Award for 2017, and also a mentor within the largest European project for young people and students on entrepreneurship. She gave a lecture and a workshop on UTMS to the topic: "Social Entrepreneurship".

The project was established and initiated by the University of Business and Economics in Vienna and Impact Hub, and the mission is to promote social entrepreneurship among the young people and students. The project itself is composed of three parts: educational part, competition and reward, as well as the incubation of the finalists in order to further develop their idea.

Participants at the workshop had the opportunity to learn the basics of the concept of social entrepreneurship and were motivated to think and to develop business ideas for establishing their own social enterprise. Students were involved in the discussion of potential the ideas for the social businesses that could make a certain social change.

In this way, youth awareness of the social entrepreneurship is raised and they are provided with the necessary support to become social entrepreneurs who would directly influence the improvement of their local community.
