Dear students, alumni, current and future!

First of all, I want to congratulate you on today's International Students' Day. You are our hope for a better tomorrow, our dream for Macedonia to be a better place to live, our future ray of sunshine over this piece of land!

I also want to thank you and your parents for choosing the University of Skopje for your studies and training.

As a higher education institution, we constantly invest in improving the quality of teaching and for that we are always guided by your needs, because you, dear students, are the most important to us.

The University of Skopje last year, by awarding 550 scholarships across the municipalities in Macedonia, showed that we give everyone the chance to study at a domestic university according to world standards.

This year we are investing in sports and youth to show that the future of this country is very important to us, above all the development of each of you as an individual.

For the next, we plan to continue to focus on young people and on their future path to be as bright as possible, creating study programs that are recognized by many international organizations.

As a long-time professor and Rector of the University of Skopje, I want to tell you once again that we do not have another spare homeland!

Love your country, invest in yourself, apply everything you learn for a better tomorrow and be blessed to be born here.

Only the Sun is older than Macedonia!
