The Ministry of Economy traditionally every year on the occasion of the World Tourism Day on September 27th organizes an event at which awards are given for a special contribution to tourism in the Republic of Macedonia.

The University of Skopje was awarded an extraordinary recognition for its outstanding contribution to the development of tourism in Macedonia. The event, which took place on September 27, Hotel "Holiday Inn" Skopje, brought together all important stakeholders from the tourism sector in the country.
