In yesterday's edition of "Good morning Macedonia, every morning" on TV Alfa, hosted by Susana Turundzieva, the rector of University of Skopje, prof. PhD. Ace Milenkovski and the director of Sports Radio 90.3, Toni Mitev. The reason for this morning's guest appearance was the promotion of the documentary film "Cobra's Path to the Stars", dedicated to the Macedonian football legend Darko Panchev. The film was premiered at an exclusive worldwide promotion organized by the University of Skopje, which took place on April 24 at "Alexandar Palace".
„
The interest in the event exceeded all our expectations. We had lined up four hundred and thirty chairs, we expected at least 20-30 to remain empty. On the contrary, we beat at least 80 more, and around 200 guests were standing along the walls of the third conference room of the hotel. They came almost twice as many as invited. In the end, we had to bring four more chairs for Darko and his family," Rector Milenkovski told about the attendance at the event. "Although many try to dispute it, with this Darko has shown its attractiveness even today. It gathered exclusive guests, such as His Beatitude, the Archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, Mr. Stefan, Professor Vasil Tupurkovski, the first president of the Macedonian Olympic Committee, Academician Vlado Kambovski, respected Sveto Janevski and Trifun Kostovski, a plethora of football players from the heyday of Vardar and Red Star. There were Vasil Ringov, one Dejan Savicevic, one Dragan Stojkovic - Pixie," continued Milenkovski, commenting on the indisputable success of the promotion of the film dedicated to the Macedonian Cobra
.
Rector Milenkovski also expressed his deep gratitude to the collaborators and producers of the film for the privilege that Skopje University received to be the general patron of this project and the organizer of the promotion itself. Regarding the motives for joining such a sporting feat, Rector Milenkovski emphasized that the University of Skopje, in cooperation with the Macedonian Olympic Committee, has always supported prominent athletes in our homeland, including by providing scholarships for regular studies at the University of Skopje. He also pointed out that the interest in the University of Skopje is growing year by year, and especially in the Faculty of Human Resource Management. "Persistence pays off." When we first accredited this faculty in 2009, the interest was so low that we even considered putting it on hold. But here, after years, it is the most attractive. The persistence of Darko Pancev and the Sports Radio and the producers paid off, with that persistence we reached the promotion in Aleksandar Palace", emphasized Rector Milenkovski.
„
We did this for the young people, but also for all the past generations to remember, to remember us, the current generations who cheered for Vardar, Red Star or Darko Panchev, for all young people, to whom some persistently try to erase the collective memory, for all future generations, at the promotion I also mentioned my five-year-old grandson, when they watch the film, they should know and remember that this climate, this country, our homeland, gives birth to great men, great sons", he emphasized at the end from his visit, rector Milenkovski.
Toni Mitev, director of the Sports Radio, expressed deep gratitude to the University of Skopje for the professionalism and dedication in the realization of the overall project. "Everything that needed to be done was done, the team at the University of Skopje worked with the utmost professionalism, the days before the promotion and until the late hours!", noted Mitev about the preparations for the promotion.
