Emotions, gifts, memories from the times when one of the best strikers in the former Yugoslavia, at one time also the "Golden Boot of Europe", Darko Panchev, won the European club crown with Red Star.
The University of Skopje, the main sponsor of the documentary, gathered the biggest Balkan football stars in one place.
Six hundred guests from Macedonia and the region, athletes, academics, businessmen, politicians, media editors and prominent public figures attended the official promotion of "The Cobra's Path to the Stars" in Skopje's "Alexandar Palace" hotel.
"Great gratitude to all the starts legends who came to Skopje tonight, to the colleagues from Vardar, I thank the rector Milenkovski and the University of Skopje for helping us to leave the film in the history of the future generations," Darko Panchev told the audience.
The documentary, which will be shown as a series on "Sport Club" in September, talks about the life and career of Darko Panchev from his birth in Kisela Voda, all the way to his greatest successes and the world crown with the Red Star.
"We are here for Darko, not only because he is a star, because we grew up together on the same Pushkinova street in Skopje's Kisela Voda, but because Darko gave his heart for the homeland!" Panchev received a shirt from Boshko Gjurovski from Crvena zvezda, and the president of FFM, Muamet Sejdini, awarded him a shirt from the Macedonian national team. The archbishop of the MOC, Mr. Stefan, the first man of the IOC Vasil Tupurkovski, the selector Blagoja Milevski, as well as football legends Metodija Spasovski, Vasil Ringov, Ilija Najdoski, Kocho Dimitrovski, Vujadin Stanojkovich, Gjore Jovanovski, Tomce Trajanovski, were present at the promotion as well as Dragan Stojkovich, Dejan Savicevich, Stevan Stojanovich, Slobodan Marovich.
