Iranian culture in Macedonia, Macedonian tradition in Iran
Representatives of the largest tourist organization of the Islamic state of Iran "Persepolis", that is a part of the Foundation "Mustazafan", in which also is functioning the University of Tourism and Hospitality, today 05.12.2014, visited the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje.
On the meeting, on which the high delegation from Iran, accompanied by representatives of the Iranian embassy in our country, attended the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Sasko Gramatnikovski Assoc. Dr, Marina Stojmirova MSc, Angela Milenkovska MSc, Andrea Mackic MSc and Goran Apostolovski MSc.
On the official meeting were opened several topics, including the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement between the two universities, which would mean the exchange of students, professors and course implementation of practice of students in hotels and travel agencies, which are under the supervision or, close cooperation with the universities.
The delegation of the Islamic state of Iran expressed gratitude for receiving the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, noting that UTMS is the first institution in the field of tourism in the country, which they intend to make a cooperation agreement. They mentioned that the exchange of experiences in the field of tourism for them is very important, because their country invest a lot in this area, and almost there is no staff that is working in a hotel or travel agency, who didn't graduated in their university.
Although a university, on which annually gravitate over a ten thousand students, their perception of cooperation with UTMS is not in the number of students, but rather in the experience and education that can be given to achieve mutual cooperation.
The Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Sasko Gramatnikovski Assoc. Dr. expressed satisfaction from this meeting, noting that UTMS is ready to reach an agreement and cooperation with the University of Tourism and Hospitality from Iran, in order to facilitate the flow of education and of course the development of tourism in both countries.
