The World Tourism Day, which is celebrated every year on September 27th everywhere in the world, is a unique opportunity to raise awareness of the contribution that tourism has in global development.

This year, World Tourism Day will thematically unite common structures of tourist opportunities and technological flows from big data, artificial intelligence and digital platforms in order to create opportunities for sustainable development.
"Innovation and digital solutions feed tourism with opportunities for development, inclusion," said UNWTO Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili.

The official ceremony marking the World Tourism Day will take place in Budapest, Hungary.

The University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, as the only accompanying member of Macedonia in the UNWTO World Tourism Organization, marks the event and conveys the mission of the organization to the academic community.
