In the amphitheater of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje today on (15/09/2016) the maintenance of solemn hour, officially marked the beginning of the 2016/17 academic year for the newly enrolled students at the University. The ceremony was attended by the future academics who decided their education to continue at one of the five faculty’s, which operate within the University of Tourism and Management or the Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Human Resource Management, the Faculty of Entrepreneurial Business, Faculty of international marketing management and Faculty of Economics.
The student’s students that attended, welcomed the Rector of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, Ace Milenkovski PhD wished warm welcome in what he said the temple of knowledge, while highlighting the importance that UTMS was their choice for continuing their education. In his speech the Rector especially emphasized the commitment of the teachers to deliver quality instruction through which the students will gain the competitive skills that will enable active involvement and prestige in the business world.
In an appropriate address of the Rector of the University of Tourism and Management, the web administrator to the students presented how is functioning the e-student, or the external portal of the website for the students through which they get all the information in electronic form. After that the deans of the faculties gave the E-indices of the students
After receiving the e-indexes of students addressed the Vice Rector for teaching at the University of Tourism and Management, Mijalce Gjorgievski PhD who presented the teachers and then than to the students presented the methodology of study,the credit transfer system in the Bologna Declaration, stressing that UTMS is the only University which consistently implementing the ECTS of study.
After completing the solemn hour students from every faculty had separate meetings with the deans who were informed about the future activities in the academic year 2016/2017.
