On 08.10.2016 the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje for the fifth time successfully organized the international scientific congress ICONBEST 2016 cover story with global trends of tourism in the 21st century. Congress theme and scientifically referred to the analysis of the global trends and developments in the field of business, economics, tourism, marketing and communications, human resources and education through research papers of professors and researchers from around the world 14 countries from all continents. Research papers will be published in the Proceedings of the conference and the selected best papers will get the opportunity for publication in the international scientific journal UTMS - Journal of Economics.
Structurally, the Congress was divided into 6 themes: tourism, marketing, human resources, management and pretrpiemnishtvo, economy and education.
The official start of the congress marked Prof. Saso Kozhuharov PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of UTMS and Vice-Rector for Science and Development and also president of the organizing committee of the congress, bringing the audience into the topic by presenting panelists and pragmatic provoking the audience in order to set the interest topics and panels.
Congress was opened by the Rector of UTMS, Ace Milenkovski PhD who in his speech emphasized the importance of multidisciplimparity theme of the congress and in particular grant the inclusion of the key panelists of the fifth congress which is especially important not only for UTMS, but also for Macedonia.
Right on that point followed the key speaker Academic Gary Jacobs, director of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, whose partnership was organized this year's Congress, spoke about the importance of the methodology and concept of education towards meeting the current and future dynamics of global business.
Immediately afterwards addressed the Prof. Dennis Gash PhD, president of the International Assembly of the College of Business Educators (IACBE) who addressed the topic: The process of international accreditation and quality standards emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the field of Higher Education in the direction of aligning the standards globally.
No less important, with strong aspects of the dynamics of change, eminent Prof. Amelia Tomasevic PhD from Zagreb University Verne referred to as corporate culture as the strongest engine in the process of promoting hospitality and general global tourism.
This panel eloventno was rounded off by the address of the Honoris Causa Prof Zoran Ivanovic PhD from the Faculty of International Tourism and Hospitality from Opatija, which skillfully uniting all the projected areas of the program of the congress peontirashe to the urgent importance of complementing the science and business, but in terms of adaptability to the dynamics of change and constant and sustainable development.
In the afternoon session, panelists discussed the topic of the congress transfer them from the countries and regions they cover and it prompted a great constructive communication.
At the end of the congress, the chairman board Prof. Kozhuharov presented the conclusions from the presentations and discussions:
1. The global challenges that need to work from all social spheres are conflicts, poverty and terrorism
2. One of the stronger measures to tackle these challenges is mobility, and cross cultural and sub cultural communication and interaction between the countries and societies of the world
3. Tools to implement the measures transparency, information, Technology and Internet
4. Equal importance with the same rate of spin there culture and philosophy of trips that paves new ways of communicating and dealing with challenges
5. Complementing the relevant industries is a key factor for sustainable development and global
6. Management of intellectual capital long-life learning, talent management and flexibility are the professional urgent actions to deal with the dynamics of the industry and the education respectively.
