Students and the academic staff of UTMS, at the First International Culinary Festival - Macedonia 2016 once again confirmed the high degree of responsibility and professional conduct as members of an institution that is marked as a SUPER BRAND higher education.
University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, from the very beginning of its establishment, continuously helps the activities of individuals and groups, aimed at promotion of Macedonia as an attractive tourist destination and promote its rich culture and tradition.
This time, as part of its socially responsible behavior, as well as within the realization of their curricula, UTMS give maximum support in the realization of the First International Culinary Festival - Macedonia 2016, as one of the general sponsors.
Organized by the Association of Chefs Gastro MAK national organization of chefs and a member of WACS - World Association of Chefs Socities (World Association of Chiefs of kitchens) from 17 to 19 October 2016 at the Skopje Fair, held a culinary event, on which attended the international judges and contestants from 20 countries, as well as professional chefs from Macedonia.
The international competition of more than 100 contestants from Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Albania, Slovenia, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy and Turkey, helped 20 students from UTMS, led by Vladanka Davkovska MSc.
Gourmet competitors assessed 15 renowned judges from Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Italy and Israel, while the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism at UTMS, Sasko Gramatnikovski PhD was an honorary judge at the event.
For the animation of the judges and overview of the most important landmarks of the city of Skopje, was in charge of Andrea Mackic MSc professional tour guide and assistant at UTMS while translation and correspondence with foreign visitors, most attended assistant Gordana Serafimovic and Teodora Janeva student of the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Tourism and management in Skopje.
As part of the curriculum for the subject Gastonomy, Faculty of Tourism UTMS visited this prestigious competition, which was implemented for the first time in the State concerned.
With this activity, students and staff of UTMS, once again showed a high degree of responsibility and professional conduct within and outside the institution is a leader in educating high educated staff in the tourism in the country.
