Initiative of the Commission for Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information for the establishment of closer cooperation with the higher education institutions in July 2016 was made official with the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, with the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by the heads of the both institutions, Dr. Gorgi Slamkov and the Rector of the University of Tourism and management in Skopje, Ace Milenkovski PhD.

According to this document, the two institutions within its primary activity is obliged to act and cooperate in raising public awareness and degree of familiarity of the students with the Law on Free Access to the Public Information, and the opportunities arising from it.

The practical implementation of the Memorandum of cooperation it was realized on 6 December 2016, by conducting the training for the students by the President of the Commission, Dr. Gorgi Slamkov and his associates from the Secretariat of the Commission. During the training, the students were introduced to the Law on Free Access to Public Information, its implementation and use as a tool for access to public information.
