The policy of the Department for quality assurance and control is corporately and functionally organized according to the quality requirements and objectives of the University of Skopje, which derive from the legal framework that prescribes the assurance, assessment, development and improvement of the quality of higher education. The focus of the legislation is on the forms of accreditation of study programs, quality evaluation and other activities and mechanisms through which the quality of higher education is developed and maintained, established by law and the acts of the National Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Quality Agency in higher education.
The work of the Department for quality assurance and control results from the realization of the fundamental documented information: vision, mission, development strategy, quality policy and sustainable development policy of the University.
The priority task of the Department for quality assurance and control is to create, implement, monitor and evaluate the Development Strategy with which the University is ready to respond to current policies and future challenges in the global environment, where social- economic, social, political, legal, technical-technological and informational changes require continuous improvement of the Quality Management System of UTMS, based on the concept of total quality (Total Quality Management-TQM).
Department for quality assurance and control has a significant role in building the recognition of the university through the consistent application of the methodology of acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies as a synonym for the highest standards and sustainable quality.
